Best Gaming Pad

Im looking for a gaming pad to play the likes of Crysis, and COD4 (In Vista Home Premium).

I bought a Playstation 2 to USB converter, and to be honest its rubbish. So far the only game it works on is Need for Speed Pro Street (and even that seems to pull to the right for some reason, even tho the controller works fine in the PS2).

I want a Playstation style Pad if Poss.

A one with mouse and keyboard emulation would be good, for games that dont support joypads. Something like this would be perfect if it was vista compatable:

I like my xbox 360 pad..i have a wired one connected up to the pc with the microsoft drivers..you can also buy a wireless one for the pc too i think.

Is it an actuall xbox 360 pad, or a replica made for pc?

there isn't a single pc-specific pad which is as good as an official console pad of some sort.

Xbox 360 Controller for Windows would be what's being suggested

Logitech Rumblepad 2 Gamepad

Its the only playstation stlye pad ive been able to find that works with vista.

The xbox ones look really good, but ive never user an xbox pad before, where as i am a master with a playstation pad

I have a dual PS2 controller adaptor that I got off Ebay ages ago and it works perfectly on any game i've tried it with.
It's one of these
Cost me about a tenner iirc.

The discontinued Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad is still one of my favourite, although the lack of analogue control doesn't make it that suitable for the latest games. For those, I am using a wired X-Box360 controller. It should be lighter than the wireless version (no battery), but the main reason for going wired really was the costs at the time of my purchase: the wireless version costed a good chunk more and required the wireless receiver linked on top. But if you prefer a PS style pad, I think you should just look for a working adapter (they are working ones).

Cheers for the help, Ive decided to buy the wired xbox 360 for windows controller. Im sure it will be easy to learn how to use it :S

The main reason i went for it is because its microsoft, and as im using vista, it is one of the few that are supported, plus it looks great!

Good luck on trying out the pad...the wired one has served me really well..also i can unplug it and use it for 2 player games on my 360
