New Case..

Hello,

I'm looking into buying a new case since the one i'm currently using (Antec Nine Hundred) is beggining to bug me..

It's just impossible to keep tidy.. Which i can't stand.

I'm looking for a case that's got a reasonable good airflow but something that i can keep tidy.. Sound is also an issue, my PC is on pretty much 24/7..

I've looked at the Cosmos 1000 which looked ok but if anyone else has anything they'ld like to suggest it'ld be appreciated.

Antec P182 is the simple to keep tidy and super quiet.

This is mine, it's just waiting for a graphics card



You can also route the main mobo power cable behind the mobo tray but I hadn't realised at the time of the picture. I have done now though.

For tidey ness the only real limiting factor of to 900 is you cannot run cables behind the tray (which should be correctable with a drimmel )

The p182 is quite good

However it does all depend on how many bits you're sticking in a case and the number and locations of wires involved.
All told cable tideying is more of an Art form than a Science.
getting a case really tidy often requires 2 or 3 failed goes before youfinally figure what order to pulg everything in and where to run all the wires.

PS staffsMike nice job there how many time did you have to unpulg every thing and re-route it?

Just the once. That mobo power cable looked too fat to fit behind the tray so I didn't bother.

The Second 8pin mobo power cable was a pig to get in but other than that it was very straight forward.

Best to have a plan of attack when trying to keep it tidy

I'll second staffsMike's opinion, P182.

I have an older P180 which I've modded to enhance cooling and add some cabling features which are already present in the P182.

Cool, quiet and tidy that is what the P182 is all about

Only real issue with it is the door and then that is only an issue if you don't like doors!

I wish i'd bought a P182 now, everything i hear about it is good! How much does a 900 fetch second hand?

The 900 is imho a better case than the P180/182...I couldnt decide which and in the end, the 900 won...glad it did tbh

As long as you keep the dust out(which isnt hard) then it performs better and the temps you get are WAY better.

Plus...cases with doors = lick bawls big time!

Staffsmike....you either are way behind with you specs data or thats someone elses PC

The Antec Solo is a nice case, I love the HDD suspension.

The P182 does look nice and neat..

Only problem being is that i hate doors usually..

But come to think of it i hardly ever use DVDs/CDs...

The good thing about that door is it's double hinged so you can put it flat against the side of the case if you like.
