Thinking of upgrading from a 3700+ single core to a dual core 4200+ X2 as they are cheap right now (£40ish). I have a socket 939 mobo and will be running Vista 64. But do people think its worth doing? Will i notice a difference?

Personally I don't think it's worth upgrading now. Maybe a year ago but now - not really.
I guess it depends on what you're using it for?

Gaming, serving up music files, WPing, internet... Everything really.
For multi tasking then dual core then Im sure you'll notice a big difference. For gaming I think 80% (or more) might not see any difference.
Im on Single core still and have been considering for a long time to jump on the x2 wagon. Haven't found the prices are justified with so much more (beter) options available.
I'd only go dual core for under £30 (for the 4200)
Just my thoughts really.
