Apparently Hexus shareholders are happy about that move.. According to the INQ:
"Shares in Logitech were up yesterday on suggestions that Microsoft could dip into its change to pick up the brilliant Swiss input-device maker."
What do people have against MS mice and keyboards?
I have used Microsoft mice heavily since they released their first optical mouse, I currently use the Habu, a great mouse.
All the Logitechs I have used have felt cheap =S
The only things from Logitech I have ever liked are the G15 (which i still couldn't give my ZBoard up for!) and the Harmony remotes (I'd be lost without my Harmony 525!)

I reckon a lot of people don't have anything against MS input devices - but still want Logitech around to provide an alternative. Yea, we still have Razer and whatnot, but the fact is that many people are still more than satisfied with an MX510.
Microsoft makes some cracking kit as it is. I suppose its one less for the competition, but if a merger is done correctly we could see some brilliant new devices

Competition is a good thing for us, more microsoft buys, the more we are forced to spend.

Perhaps this is all part of Microsoft's evil plan for world domination. First they partner up with Razer to make mice and keyboards (Habu and Reclusa), then they decide to buy Logitech.
Today gaming peripherals, tomorrow ... the WORLD! Bwa ha ha haaaa!
