Right, to the point
I have an old mobo (Gigabyte GA-7DX) which I use to run an XP2200+. Ive recently got an XP-M2500+, but its been sitting idle as i cant afford a nf7-s yet.
I want to know i can use the XP-M with the old mobo. The 7dx runs with a 133 FSB and the XP-M has a 166 FSB (I think). Will placing the XP-M in there just mean that it will run at the max 133 FSB?
I think the XP-M has a higher multiplier (14, against the 2200s 13.5), so there should be an improvement in perf, right? Finally, is there a risk of damaging the XP-M by doing so?
Cheers Peeps
