depends what you mean by noisy really, i've got the sn45 with a quieter 80mm fan in it and i can sleep with it on easily.

yep, same here - changed the case fan for a quieter one (also had to insert rubber grommets between fan enclosure and case, cos whenever the auto sensor for temp increase kicked in, the fan caused the heatpipe to virbrate against case)

all i need to do then is to cover up the bright blue power led and get a good nights sleep

    Think it's about 42CFM and 30-something dB.

Btw, does anyone else's make a funny nuuuuurrrrrrreeeeeeeekkkkkk noise every 10 minutes?! It's a bizzare noise and I wouldn't have thought it was my fans...

do u have motherboard monitor installed? I noticed that when the temps started to increase, the fan kept speeding up/slowing down when it was around a certain temp. On mine, whenever the fan did that it vibrated the heat pipe fins against the case (or something like that) - which is why i added some rubber grommets in...

Hi Goldfinger, I do have MBM installed, yeah. I don't think it is that though, as my CPU is sitting at a steady 32 degrees just now (and the fans are set to increase at 40) and it just made the noise as I've been typing (ie. can't be that as it just made the noise and there's been no fan speed increase).

It's actually more like a door creaking open.
    Sorry to hijack btw Scupa
