    Drive Problems

I have an Epox 8RDA+, Freecom 8x4x32 & Mitsumi Dvd player in pc, they both worked perfectly with my normal ide cable but then i decided to replace them with some round 1's, so as normal i have the dvd as primary master the cd-rw as primary slave. I boot up with new round cable hooked up and neither drive reads disks, just churn'em around 4 a while, so i though dodgey cable. I then replaced it with my old ide cable, that worked perfectly 5 mins b4 hand.... and still the drives don't read...even though they had the exact same set-up 10mins b4.

I then proceeded to test them individually, but still they read nothing!

So neither of my drives read disks, i wasn't heavy handed, i didn't bend any pins, all cables work when tested on my hd's... whats going on??? Can i fix'em?

Any help would be real appreciated.
