    help selecting new motherboard

i have a core2 rig im using a ASUS P5N E-SLI with 4x1gig sticks of corsair xms2 667 ram my problem is i have 4x1gig of geil that i want to use as it clocks well and is faster but to use this ram i either have to use 2 or 3 sticks or stay with the 667 as the board freezes up using the 4gig its a known issue that your all aware of no dout im not arsed with messing about as there is no fan on the NB or SB so cranking voltage up will just fry the chipset and im not arsed with modding it either.

What im aiming to do is just replace the board money is not really a issue for the right board im using a C2D E4400 as it overclocks extremely well but will be upgrading to a 45nm chip when they become available so the new board must have support for a 45nm chip i will be using my 4gig of pc6400 geil but would like this to all work with minimum of ****ing about and be fully supported ideally would like the choise to use bigger ram modules(PC2 8500) or so i can get a good clock on the geil thats basically it.

I want to know about what you think is a good choise for me if you have the board and are you happy with it.

    asus p5k-e/wifi AP
    Gigabyte P35-DS3R

These are both great overclockers and will support the new 45nm cpus up to 1333fsb.

    Re: help selecting new motherboard

if you want to get up to the nehalem fsbs it might be wise to wait for the x48 chipset and get one of those.
