    My watercooled shuttle.....

    Hi all,

Just finished installing the watercooling kit in my SN45G and I thought I would share.....

I used a Thermaltake Aquarius 2 kit for the job. I know it's not the best but it's only £60 brand new, and when you can get one of a mate on work for £20 it's even better!

I figured that there would be no way I could get it all insode the shuttle so I didn't try. I have the standard fan inside the Shuttle blowing out onto the radiator which is also attached to the rear of the shuttle. The pump and reservoir are combined in this kit and that's the only part not attached to the shuttle. Temps are in the low 40's with the fan turned low and when I've replaced my GFX it should make things a lot quieter. The plan wasn't to brings the tmps down so I could majorly overclock, the main idea was the noise.

Here's a few pics, not great wuality but they'll have to do until my GF has found her digicam USB lead. Took the pics with my 7650....

    Any comments or suggestions???

i've seen people get the whole kit inside a shuttle, put the pump on its side under the drive cage and squeese the radiator, have a look on sfftech.com - it can be done.

Some nice mods there, although a little tacky in most cases! (no pun intended!)
