    Best non crossfire overclocking motherboard?

Hi quite a lot of motherboards have crossfire, sli etc but since I know I'm not really ever going to buy 2 graphics cards it seems pointless to me to buy one. I still want to overclock though. My current board is an Abit Quad GT which is crossfire and it overclocks great but I'd rather have an extra pci slot than a useless pci-e which I'm never going to use.

So any suggestions on what my next board upgrade could be?

    many thanks

What exactly do you need the PCI slot for?

Most cards are going PCI-E, that is the future of all cards (until the next thing comes long)

Well I already use my 2 other slots for TV card and sound card and might be setting wirless network so may need the other for wireless pci card.

Really I think its pointless getting a new board just for an extra PCI slot but here are two GA-P35-DS3R or GA-P35C-DS3R. Would of said Asus P5K-E but you have a 8800GTS.

But you can get a PCI-E wireless card if that's what you need it for.

Re: Best non crossfire overclocking motherboard?

    how about an IP35/IP35-E?
The Airpace is probably the easiest/cheapest solution though especially as there will be mor PCI-E devices & fewer PCI in the future..

Probably cheaper to sell the TV card and replace it with a PCI-E version TBH.

My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

You can buy something like this pretty cheap and it has 2 tuners on it

Minus the cost of selling the old one.

and then "run" is a bit of a subjective term.

it's taken a long long while but slowly more cards are coming out as PCI-e (mainly for the short 1x slots)

and it would be cheaper to buy a replacement pci-e tv card, also you want to consider a digital tv card not an analog one as analog tv isn't going to be around in the UK for that much longer (assumeing you card is analog)
