Can I throw a spanner in the works here

The way you asked the if PC came prebuilt suggest you've not built before, and that suggests you're not an overclocker. If so, you'll probably find AMD a better deal at the moment. The A64 6000+ at 3.0GHz will be around the same speed as the E6750 suggested before, and is just £100, saving you a few pennies.

If you are gonna overclock then go intel all the way however

Also a thought just occured to me. If you are spending just over £100 on a CPU, then why not consider the Phenom 9500? Quad core at 2.2GHz. Ignore the erratum issue, it never rears its head in the real world. It will NOT be as fast today as an E6750, but it'll make for a better/faster multitasking PC. The next(/current) gen games are taking advantage of more cores. And I can't see a Phenom 9500 bottlenecking you in games!!!

Even a 2.2GHz dual core would be enough for today's games, and tomorrow's are likely to love a quad core...
