No way... you got the rock SL8? :D
That is one beastly...beast :p
Pic's pleaaaaaase.
It's from Eurocom - D90x which is the Clevo D901 - same as the SL8 ;)
Specs are 4GB 800 MHz DDR2, 200GB SATA-300 HDD (will be adding a second soon enough), Q6700 2.66GHz quad-core, 8800 GTX 512MB Gfx card.
I didn't go with SLI as I don't need SLI - but do need CPU cycles :)
VERY VERY nice keyboard, very nice cooling (couldn't resist the lure of a user openable component bay - for an engineer that's a temptation too far), the WUXGA screen is lovely.
Will post some pics when I get chance.
My only negative comments is the windows Vista performance index score is lower than my old Asus F3 - however all the proper benchmarks are way faster so think it is more software related.
3dMark06 score was 9700 with no overclocking.
Mine got a score of 9356 so its good to know i aint too far behind :D
That is one nice machine though :P Just dont drop it on your toe lol
Neo (don't I know you from the Rock forums? ;) )
What's your Vista performance score for the 8800? Mine is lower than my 8600! (But everything else is higher - including FPS in the games I do play etc)
Novatech are also selling laptops with the T9300
Hello Arimus, Yea you know me from the Rock forums :P
I got my laptop from Kobalt with Windows XP as vista is too slow for games in my opinion. I go a 3d mark score of 9356 which is pretty good :P
I haven't played loads of games on it yet, Only CS:S, TF2 and they all play at max resolution with all settings to high.
I was going to use novatech cause they were so much cheaper but heard of alot of faults with them and that they use cheaper parts (hense the cheap price) so i stayed away and paid the xtra.
I went with Vista 64 bit as for me I need the memory space - photoshop is one greedy SOB when it comes to memory and I tend to run eve online while editing photos... so more memory is good.
(Soon as I get the front room sorted I'll set up a proper desktop for photoshop work)
