    Question Pre-Built System Advice

Hey guys, my younger brother has been offered a grant/help with the cost towards a PC (for the value of 250 quid) we (me & him) just built a pc that we both use, and it would of been nice to use the money for that (replace the stuff we had to cut corners on), but the rule say u can't use it towards upgrades parts. so the question is, have any of u guys got sugesstions to some decent pre-built systems? we'll chip in some extra about bring the budget up to around 400 quid?

and what i was thinking is...is there any where on the net that wil do me a custom rig - i could ask for a 8800GTS etc, and another 2gig of memory etc - so i can take it out n upgrade what we got...and have the rest basic.

in that way it should count as pre-built, if we buy it all in one from somewhere?

aany ideas and help much appreciated

    Re: Pre-Built System Advice

Novatech get good reviews from users and are well mentioned in forums Computer Supplies from Novatech. I've not used them in a while, but still hear good things about them.

They allow you to add/subtract to the systems they build, and looking at the site, it's free next day delivery over £50.

I think if you phone them, they should be able to fill your needs. They're (or were) a small(ish) company and often go the extra mile for there customers (or so I am lead to believe from posts on other forums).

    Re: Pre-Built System Advice

There's plenty of places that do custom PC's but to be honest, for your budget, Dell still offer some of the best value for money pre-built systems (even with their shipping charges).

For example, just got a Vostro for work, 20" monitor, E6550, 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD and a HD2600XT (ok, not great card but it's an office computer) all for £450 inc shipping and VAT
