Is there any way to extend a DVI lead?

I want to move my MediaPC but the DVI lead is not long enough and changing the lead is not an option due to it being ziptied and inside trunking.

The lead is DVI to HDMI for HDCP blu-ray / HD DVD playback.

I'm not sure at what length DVI starts to break down, but an extension won't affect HDCP.
