    It's been discussed a few times before, and the general concensus seens to be that you'd be better off spending your money elsewhere in your build.

    /me awaits comment from KillerNIC employee explaining why it's worth it if you like your FPS's going to say that Hexus should be receiving one at any moment for review.

    /me prepares giggle muscles.

    Re: New NIC Anyone?

    Haha, I think you'd need to be pretty deluded to spend £180 on a network card (or you could get the "cheaper" version for £130).

    If this was ~£30, MAYBEpeople would be kinder to it, but when you can buy a Q6600, an 8800GT, 1.5Tb of HDD space etc for the same price, I really can't think of a good reason to buy this. Might see if I can goad one of my mates into buying this
    ASUS P5K Premium || Q6600 || 4Gb RAM || 8800GTS

    Re: New NIC Anyone?

    If money was no issue then I'd put one in my PC. Mind you if money was no issue I'd have Quad SLI et cetera...

    Yes the benefits are measurable and the whole concept of having a mini linux PC for network traffic is pretty cool. But I can't justify it. I'm sure there are quite a few who can though!
