    Cooler advice for s939

    Hi,
I'm looking to rebuild a system using an old s939 motherboard i have, only trouble is its missing the retention clip for the cpu cooler, as i used a danger-den water block on it.

I've been looking at thermalright heatsinks and notice on scan they sell a "bolt-through" kit to convert the ultima-90 heatsink to work with k8 boards.

Is this what i need to get upand running, has anyone tried it already?

    Thanks
    Phil.

    Re: Cooler advice for s939

Ignore me, i've found my answer.

I looked into the installation manuals online for a few multi-cpu coolers, and quite a few require the removal of the piece i have missing anyway! (doh!)
Should have an akasa 921 or something coming from scan on friday(it was on today-only, cheers Scan!)

    Live and learn
    Phil.
