bit of a problem

just put my new hardware into my antec p800 case with my new 74 gb raptor but i need to put the raptor as a slave .. these hdd are both sata drives and ive tried the jumper on all 4 different 2 pins any help? just its not showing in my computer

Master/Slave is only relevant to parallel ATA...

What's it showing in the BIOS?

That's right - each drive will be the master of that SATA cable. There is only one drive per SATA cable, rather than the two drives that you could have per old-school parallel cables.

Could you go to Control Panal -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management (Or whatever the Vista equivalent is, if you use Vista) and see what's there. Maybe the disk just isn't enabled in the OS?

You need to format the disk, there should be the option to do it in that page somewhere, right click the disk and select Format IIRC.

Can't remember exact menus, etc, off the top of my head, but you'll need to format it to NTFS, enable it, and assign it a drive letter. You should be able to do all of this by getting up the context menu by right clicking on the unallocated/unknown disk.
