Brand of graphics card - does it matter?

Im looking at getting a 8800GTS & a Samsung 24", but due to the fact a mate of mine is ordering it as part of an order for his company i can only get them through ebuyer. The cheapest 8800GTS from ebuyer is a Point of View one. Iv not heard much of this company so was wonderin what peoples opinions of them were?

Would i be better off paying an extra £8.00 for a Leadtek, or £15 for an Innovision card?

They all have fairly similar specs so why are they priced so differently?

I would pay attention to differences in the warranty, and the bundle, including any free games. (though obviously there is no point in paying extra for games you allready have or are unlikely to play) I would also look at different vendors to go for one with better customer service (eg choosing scan over overclockers), or look for one with a local store.

Different warranties, bundles and some times different coolers too but apart from that there's no real differences.

Looking at the Point Of View web site, it says all warrentys should be handled through the reseller. Does this mean i only get a 1 year warrenty with Ebuyer?

Havnt seen any 8800GTS on ebuyer(or their manufacturers websites) with bundled games, surely if they did come bundled with games it'd be avdertised everywhere?

it does mean a lot. XFX and Asus are one of the best fx card manufacturers. Steer well away from MSI, their cards are poorly manufactured and usually theyre the most noisy fans around.

Thanks for the responses guys, im considering getting a BFG from scan & just getting my monitor from ebuyer atm, i like the sound of a life time warrenty with BFG.

Do graphics card come bundled with games these days? I remember them doing it a few years ago but like i said above, im yet to see a reseller advertise the games conatined/if there are any.

Lifetime Warranties are US only, the EU don't allow them over here. IIRC BFG is 10 years in Europe (the maximum thay are allowed to give)
