Samsung Drive Problem - on a Sunday - help !
Had a few irritating issues with a system (including the famous 'HAL.ddl bad or missing' fiasco etc)
Decided that a complete reinstall - with low level reformat was the best way forwards
The problem is that, in the BIOS, the system sees a 250GB Samsung drive - but booting from a Windows XP CD to do a complete reinstall only sees half that space
I have deleted the partitions etc - no joy
:(
Re: Samsung Drive Problem - on a Sunday - help !

Re: Samsung Drive Problem - on a Sunday - help !
Problem solved - thanks for the replies !
Uber-Guru Kerrison spotted the problem
It APPEARED to be half - but was in fact 127....
"You using a really old Windows XP disk ?" asked Steve
Seems the early ones did not understand that a disk could be be larger than 128GB :surprised:
Searched further - found \'modern XP disk\' from only 3 years ago - installed perfectly - issues solved - now happily installing SP3 and .net 3.5
All cool now - except me cheeks...
:embarrassed:
