Hello there, Just wanted to ask if an ASUS 450W PSU would be enough for my current setup plus an 8800GT or HD3870? What would the newer 9 series cards want?
I would think so, iv got a Corasir 520watt powering an 8800GTS 512mb, 3 big HDDs, 1 DVD lightscribe drive, Q6600, 2gb(800mhz) of ram and 5 * 120mm fans and iv never had any real problems. :)

Well I was conerened that my cheap xilence power 480 watt PSU I got from Aria 2 years ago wasn't going to be man enough for my 8800 GT. It's working fine, 3 HDD's one optical and my 8800 GT running flawlessly :)
my specs are going to be the following:
e6300 overclocked to 3.0Ghz - 3.2Ghz
2GB RAM overclocked to 856Mhz
4 x 90mm Fans
1 SATA, 1 IDE drives.
1 optical Drive
8800GT 512 or HD3870 512
Do you think the ASUS 450W would be enough? barely enough? room to spare? Help appreciated alot, because im hung up between 2 choices, either the 450W or the 550W.
