    Question New Graphics Card...HELP??

    Hello People,

    i currently have a 320Mb Xfx 8800GTS

    I want to know what differences i will notice and if it is worth me changing to 512MB BFG 8800GTS

    Help as i will be going to get it tonight if i should!!

    That will completely depend on the resolution that you plan to run stuff at.
    Give us that info, plus a game that you want to play.
    PS Have seen your 19" widescreen in your spec, but that might not be the one you are asking about...

    i believe you should see a difference by about 10fps(dont quote me on that). I have the BFG 512mb 8800GTS OC edition, i can run crysis on high with 4(or 8 works) AA and at 1680x1050, granted its not like 50fps(no card does that on crysis xD) but i can get somehwerearound 30-35fps.

    For crysis alone, yeah you will certainly be able to increase to probably full resolution and a fair number of effects, more than the 320MB version currently.
    For any other game though it's probably not worth it, so you have to be a real Crysis fan. You'd get what...£120 maybe for the 320MB? So that's approx £80 you have to pay overall. I wouldnt.

    Well the thing is, i am getting it off my mate for £40...i dont know why he is selling it me for that cheap, i know it works perfect so...i think i will go for it for just £40 ... dont know what i will do with my old card...sell it or keep it just incase...
