Hello all, back from my boarding holiday and ive been thinking about digital cameras.
I want to get a Konica minolta kd-510z, and it can handle both SD / MS memory.
Do any have benefits over others? Is there anything i should look out for?

XD seems to be twice as much as compact flash. but other than that i don't know, SD/MS seems pretty common so should be cheap too.
multi-card readers for pc's are very cheap that plug into your usb sockets.
and ipaq's/dell pocket pcs etc seem to take both compact flash and SD/MS - which is useful because then you can browse them on a bigger screen.
the latest VIA EPIA M2-10000 has a built in compact flash card reader - if you had / get one of them

Get whichever is most MB per £.

SD apparrently reads and writes faster than MMC. Also appears to give larger capacity (512 max Vs 256).
Unless I'm misreading this and MS is Memory stick? Sony's stuff is mega £ per meg.
The Konica Minolta website appears to say that the camera supports SD, MMC and MS.Originally Posted by Jiff Lemon

SD are your best bet for future proof will be hitting 1 gig this year and also faster read write times mmc very slow, good for backing up only plus size is limited. flash cards best for price per mb and first for size will be hitting 4 gig. The rest its more of a wait and see who wins out over time like betamax / VHS.
Nice, think ill go and get some SD then,
Cheers guys
