Rechargable Batteries for my Mouse

Hey Guys,

I've got a Wireless Microsoft Intellimouse and I can't be bothered to keep buying batteries for it so I was after some decent (and cheap!) rechargables and a charger for them and was just wondering if anyone knew of a good place to get them.

NIMH batteries are better than NICAD and the higher the mAh the better. Only problem with a lot of rechargeables is that they will go flat if not used, so not much point in having a spare set unless you are going to charge every once in a while.
I have the HAMA charger and batteries, use them with my dig camera, having a charger I can use in the car is a bonus for me, but not much us for a mouse.

Although I use it mainly for charging my digi-cam's Batteries, it also gets used occasionally for my MX700 if I need backups. It actually ships with 2100mAh Batteries!

Very good price considering that you get 4 Batteries, which would cost you ~£8 anyway!

Failing that, you can pick up an Energizer charger with just 2 batteries for ~£15 out of tesco's. Only drawback is that I think they are 1700mAh ones which don't last as long.


As a side-note, if you wanted to get one asap, Dixon's sell that "Uniross RC102235" Well worth it imho .

Cheers for the help guys, I went for the HAMA charger and battery set (8 batteries including 4 2000mAh NiMH) for £15 from 7DayShop, it seemed like a bit of a bargain!

The keyboard lasts aaaages (about 2 months) but the mouse ones have to be changed round a lot more frequently.

My mouse only lasts a week at the most with my rechargable batteries. Lasted about 4 weeks with standard AAs.

You shouldn't get a wireless mouse then. Conventional ones do just fine

How long does your mouse last on one charge?

It varies a lot actually... some times it lasts about 4-5 days, and other times about 2 weeks... I think it has a lot to do with how well it "sleeps" on your desk surface, so that the power usage is lower when you are not using it and over night...

Well mine gets used pretty much all the time I'm at home. And I have a nasty habit of clicking the mouse buttons whilst waiting for stuff to happen, so yeah
