Due to a scrote cloning my US Bank Card I don't yet have a camera in the US. If you wait about a week that will be rectified...
As far as 20dB is concerned, that's silent. But you can't always believe manufacturer's claims. I don't believe either Hiper or Coolermaster on those figures.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
really how come ? are they not respectiful companys, ?
yh if u could post the pics as soon as possible, thanks.

Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
It's nowt to do with being respectful, or even respectable. Companies will try things on, and see if they can get away with it. Some claims on fans are correct (Sharkoon, Scythe are usually fairly accurate); many are overblown. Compare fans. If one maker's claims seem too good to be true, then they probably are.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
ok, so it is best to get people who own these fans to judge, so now i just gota find some people lol looks like i gota start another topic up. do you no off any good LCD Fans, ? or used any in the past ?

Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
Antec Tricool are about as good as you can get in the LCD fan market - you can control the speed which is a good bonus.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
I have the Antec 900, great case for cooling, quiet fans with good airflow, go for it :)

Well, both my CPU and GPU temps drop by 2-4 degrees based on what speed I run my side intake fans at, so I conclude that they are not a hinderance.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
lol bless :P u do love your side fans ! a question:
does AcoustiPack Deluxe,
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
realy make your rig quiter, and if yes is this some "special" foam lol or could you use any sort of foam, beacuse £30 is alot for some foam, im sure you could pick it up from some industrial places which are throwing it away or something ?

Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
No it hardly does anything, in fact it causes insulation and increases your temperatures :p
I used to have an Antec Sonata case. I lined the inside of the side cover and the top of the case with 3 cm thick spongy foam stuff because I had some lying around.
It made no difference. I dont see whats so special about this stuff in comparison.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
It's better to invest in a fan controller to stop the noise. I have one and it's very quiet with all the fans turned down low and when you need the cooling power you just turn it up full.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
beacuse there was a guy, who in the mod forum where every one is showing off lined whole case with foam, and showd his temps, they were really quite cool, i might pm him if i can find his post again, it makes the case look good, but yh scientificly if should increase heat, . . . .
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
p182 does not have a psu with it as inferred in an earlier post.
However it does have a fan controller on the back with 3 settings for the following fans (fan on the top of case blowing upwards, fan on back of case)
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
Insulating foam does increase the temps, but it does cut down noise. I would imagine that different types of foam had different properties with regard to heat and noise.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
mmmm sounds like theres some resarch needed in this, im gonna grab some foam, and conduct some tests, see what happens :)
