triple displayport (3 display port outputs on one card)?

    Fairly self-explanatory, I hope:
DisplayPort, or HDMI for that matter, doesn't take up a lot of "space" on the header of a graphics card.

I wonder if a company somewhere has thought of making a gFX card with 3 DisplayPort ouputs on it?

My goal, as explained here, is to have 3 digital outputs from a computer.

(In case you wanted to know,
    1. the first output will drive a 24in display,
    2. the second (middle) will feed a 24in display, possibly another similar 24in using a touchscreen, and a projector,
    3. the third output will drive another 24in screen.
    )

Don't worry about how the "display, touchscreen and projector" will hook up; I've got that arranged.

Just need advice/thougts on the "triple-head" setup.

OK, hope that's self-explanatory. Look forward to your replies.

Totally pointless since you can daisychain Displayport

Well - ponitless from a card manufactureres view. I can see some making dual displayport cards since they may need the bandwidth for so many monitors.

Hey, I'd forgotten about that daisy-chaining. That's a good thought.

With that in mind, though, would there be sufficient bandwidth to run 3 24in 1920x1200 monitors (forget whether they're duplicated or not) from just one DisplayPort output?

If there is, I - well, you - have found my my solution...

DisplayPort - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are some specs at the bottom of the Wikipedia article. I'm to lazy to find it somewhere proper

Thank you for the link. However, I didn't find that link too helpful on daisy chaining. I will double-double check I didn't miss anything, though.

Edit (2050): Yeah, looking up "daisy" and "chain" using Firefox's "quick find" didn't bring up much. I'm a bit tired now, though... (I get up at 5am) so I'll look tomorrow, perhaps.
