Hey again.
I'll give a break down to make it easier to read:
Intel Q6600
Good choice although if you're not buying right away it's worth looking at the
Q9450 that'll be released some time in March. It should run cooler and have a higher maximum overclock.
Unfortunately my current system is producing many BSOD errors currently and it is forcing me into action earlier than I expected
!
Antec P180
Take a look at the newer
P182 - it's basically an improved P180.
Yes this looks like the one!
OCZ ReaperX
The massive heatsinks make them very impractical and PC8000 is a lil overkill. Get a
nice set of PC6400 and you'll be set.
Yes I was thinking they might have been 'tricky' to fit, thanks for confirming.
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB
I can't judge this drive but I can tell you the Western Digital AAKS range is near-as-dammit silent goodness, take a look at the
WD5000AAKS.
People say alot of good things about these, will probably go with this too!
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX
I wouldn't be touching a GTX with the 8800GT/S on the scene. The
512MB MSI 8800GTS ShaderOC looks very promising as it has a huge stock overclock.
Nice!
Scythe Mini Ninja
Not by any means a bad HSF but the
Scythe Mugen and
Scythe Ninja will be a good few degrees better.
I wasn't sure these would fit but I agree bigger is better for these HSF's
Samsung SH-S203P/RSMN
Lightscribe's pants
, save a few quid and get the
Samsung SH-S203D.
Yup!
Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme 7.1 Audio
Bit of a naff card to be honest. Check the
Xtreme Gamer out, it's much better.
Looks like a good match for me.
Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit
Don't waste that 64bit CPU, get 64bit Vista!
I wasn't sure that 64bit was really useful at present but I will definitely take another look.
Hope that helps!
