    'cuse me?

    QwE.
    Anyone heard of them?
    Anyone got a QwE mobo?
Any comments on how good they are?

Just that there's lots of computers going for ~£150-200 for ebay...
Identical to this:New Intel Dual Core 5.60 GHz Personal Computer+ XP Pro on eBay, also, Desktop PCs, Computing (end time 02-Mar-08 16:08:00 GMT)

Any comments on if this is value?
Any comments on anything else about this?

Lots of questions, and I'm not quite sure of ANY of the answers... or if this is the right forum for this topic

    With thanks,

    Re: 'cuse me?

    Looks like a Foxconn motherboard.

Pentium Ds are old hat, so is only 1GB RAM.
    Main - Intel Core i5 2300 @ 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, Asus P8P67 Pro, Coolermaster iGreen 600w, GTX 480, Antec One Case

    Re: 'cuse me?

The example you gave is a complete sham. It states the CPU as a Core 2 Duo and then on the detailed specs it's a Pent D 925. They couldn't be further apart. I'm not even going to mention the claimed clock speed....

    Re: 'cuse me?

It just means they buy the best value parts at any given time (eg what's cheapest). Scan sell 'major brand' memory (as do most companies), but that doesn't make them cowboys. It's just a pot of RAM at a certain spec, they dip their hand in and they sell what comes out.

You'd be stupid to buy the system, and their reputation is hardly solid, but there's nothing wrong with the use of 'major brand'. Just means you'd end up with a Seagate or Maxtor......

    Re: 'cuse me?

Thank you... I was aware of most of the other stuff, but wasn't sure about QwE.

Wasn't planning on spending ~£150+P&P on eBay either, but thought that if the mobo was decent might be worth seeing if I could get one for ~£60...

    Thanks for the comments...

oh - and btw - they were selling 6.0ghz versions two months ago... which was a Pentium D 3.0x2 CPU... two P4s stuck together....

    Re: 'cuse me?

It was. Just like the current quads are 2 Conroes/Wolfdales stuck together under the same heatspreader.
