What Is the quitest Case Fan around ?

im looking for a really silent case fan, a fan which looks good, can push out a good lot of air and can cope in humid enviroments. i read some websites stating how loud they are, but all this info is from the manafactures, i want to know what the public rate as the quitest fan in the market,

the fans have good reviews on the web, but like all point out ! what were they thinking about the colour, yes its unique BUT Peechy brown..... can fans be sprayed ? lol

normally i would say YES but ive been told its better to go 4 a plain & v.silent fan and have blue tubbing, but i have soft spots for awsome blue fans but all the ones ive owned are v.loud... do you own it ? so far we got the

I used to use mostly sharkoons but I got a few of these in my case now. non LED but they look quite nice, are pretty quiet, perform on a par if not better than the sharkoon 1000s and are pretty cheap.

What's everyone's opinion on the best/quietest 80mm fan?

I currently have a Sharkoon 2000 80mm but it's a bit too loud for my liking.

My options are:

Reduce speed of Sharkoon using Zalman Fan Mate 2
Noctua 80mm
Nexus 80mm

lol steal my thread lol welcome chimp ! Noctua are very well known for being quit, but the zalman fan mate, i would go for, just the fact you can keep it quit, when doing word docs surfing etc, but (i dont no if you like your games) when you start playing and have your SFX blasting through headphones/speakers, you can trun ya fans up, 1) you cant hear it, beacuse of the sounds 2) when your computers working hard to play the game, and starts to preduce more heat you can compensate by cranking it up also looks cool on the front of the case.

The golfballs come out reasonably good but the zalman ZM-F3's come out really good. The noctua's come out particularly average but are different to the others listed above.

The Noctua 1200 reviewed are very different from the new Noctus NF-P12.

I'v used a lot of fans in my time, Yates, Ambers, Scythe, etc & I have to conclude that the new Noctua are the best in terms of noise and performance, but as mentioned before they are expensive
