    Firewire and motherboards

    Hello

I was just wondering, i have a multicard reader with a firewire port. When I get my new motherboard does it need to support firewire itself or will the multicard reader do the job and send the data through?

As far as I am aware, you`ll need a spare firewire header on your `board, there will be a lead from the card reader to this.
