I have a pair of 8800GTXs. I want to upgrade from an AMD X2 4400+ to an Intel Q6600 but seeing as I already have the GPUs, I'm torn: are the 680i/780i motherboards bad enough to make them a poor choice regardless of their SLI capability compared with non-SLI socket 775 boards and if I do go SLI, which motherboard would be best?
I'd consider hanging on a bit longer. The new top end GPU will be out from nVidia soon and then you can sell off your cards, get that and stick to a decent P35 board.
