    optical drive disappeared

hey guys just installed new mobo, only problem is now when i start up windows optical drive (dvd rom) Is not detected. Drive is correctly plugged in with power supplied, as it is shown in bios however in windows it seems to have disappeared. Any info/suggestions as to what could be wrong and how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.

    regards Infin

Is it an IDE drive or a SATA one? Do you get anything in device manager at all (even something with a yellow exclamation) ?

    Re: optical drive disappeared

Did you overclock your system? I once couldn't find my USB controller, because I acidentially switched to 'performance' settings in my BIOS.

    Re: optical drive disappeared

Chip-set drivers installed? You don't state mobu - jmcron drivers? (unlikely as should work withot these)...
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
