The ballistix, it uses micron D9 ICs. I think the corsair uses promos (they don't clock as well)

What doddsy said. Though to be fair if you were just sticking them in and using them as is either would be fine.

    Re: Which DDR2 RAM??

For a little bit more you could get a 4GB kit:

    OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2 (OCZ2G8004GK)

    OR

4GB Team Elite DDR2-800 PC2-6400 Computer RAM Memory Upgrade CL5

I would have thought more capacity would give more performance than the slight differences in quality.

I have new sets of both of these and BEWARE of the latest ballistix they use a version of D9 that only clock to around 900mhz at cas 5 there are a lot of reports on the web and I found out to my cost. The corsair of mine go to 1000mhz cas 5. I in the end went on ebay and bought some ballistix cas3 5300 that clock to over 1100 mhz with ease and cost me half of what the 6400 cost.

    Re: Which DDR2 RAM??

There are also reports that the Ballistix do not boot on some motherboards straight away without setting the voltage to 2.20V, which usually means swapping in some cheaper ram to get into the BIOS, upping the voltage shutting down and then putting th he Ballistix back in.

The P35 Neo2 seems to have this problem
