... and there's all these fiddly bits!

OK, I've got £200 to spend on a computer.... but before you start frothing at the mouth and telling me to save up let me just give you a nice little checklist...

    Case
    PSU
    Monitor
    Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers
    Network
    Sound
    OS
    HDD
    Wires

    2GB RAM
    GPU
    CPU
    Mobo

That's pretty much everything I can think of... if it's not on the list above, presume I haven't got it, and suggest something.

Was thinking of something like this:

    2x1GB Kingston RAM
    8600 GS GPU
    E4500 CPU
GA----- Mobo (can't remember exact make)

    Any suggestions?

What exactly would you like to do with your PC? Plus it would be nice if you could list the models of the components to wish to re-use.

I think, by the smiley faces he means he has all that, with the sad faces, he wants to replace those for 200 quid.

Re: ... and there's all these fiddly bits!

in that case for 200 quid what i would buy:
    512MB Palit 9600GT
    Gigabyte GA P31-DS3L
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2160
    2GB (2x1GB) Corsair Value Select, DDR2 PC2-5300

£221.72 delivered from scan using free shipping and ram + cpu from today only.
Sure its a little over but i think its worth it.
