    Scythe Ninja Rev B

    Oh
    My
    God.

This is going to be old news for a lot of you, but I've just gone from a Zalman all copper CPU cooler (vf900? I think) to the Scythe Ninja.

I am amazed, frankly. Idle temps dropped from early 50's to about 32degrees, with stock fan running at 690rpm. Under load, barely exceeds 50degrees on my overclocked S939 4200. The Zalman resulted in mid 60s temps.

Plus it looks awesome. Was scared that it would crack the processor as the retention bracket was a little hard to secure, and had the fright of my life when I got a continuous beep from the mobo after fitting it, but soon figured it was coz I'd forgotten to re-attach power to the video card.

    Wow.

    Anyway, just thought I'd share

Edit: goes without saying that Scan got the cooler to me day after ordering.

I use one on my E6600, and I don't use the fan for it. Not sure of the temps, but it dies a great job, and I have a near silent main machine. Is very nice!

I think the VF900 is the graphiics card cooler ,

I've got a Ninja rev A in one system and a rev B in another system, good choice IMO.

You're quiet right, the VF900 is a VGA.

It was one of these KIND of things. perhaps not this one exactly. I forget
