Which NAS does everyone recommend for home business ?
I don't want to spend more than £500 and would prefer one that takes 4 or 5 hard disks.

How about a Drobo with the Network Add-On
Has had good reviews...and it looks cool!

From what I heard, the HP MediaSmart server or the Thecus N5200 Pro are both very good NAS with quite a higher performance. The price tag is quite high however.
The price of a NAS is pretty much down to the speed. a £100 NAS will do around 7MB/s while a £200 NAS will do like 14MB/s, and just keep scaling up quite linearly.
If you are planning to put 750GB/1TB drives into a NAS, I would recommend getting one with RAID6 support. RAID5 is not very helpful in a slow NAS as the repair time will be quite long and any hiccup could make your TBs of data disappear.

Drobo is limited to 2TB volumes isn't it?
I find all NAS devices (sub £1000) to be slow, and easily outperformed by an old pc.
And I thought you homies was talkin about the one and only NAS...
