Having just spoken to Arthur on MSN I'm really not sure on which drive to buy:
Western digital 1TB @ 130
Samsung 750 F1 @ 85
Western digital 750 @ 90
It'll be used as a media drive.

Another vote for the Samsung - they are very quiet and I have found them to be reliable, but all would do the job. The one terrabyte WD is slightly more expensive in bytes/pound than the other two so if you don't need a 1TB drive - go Samsung. (Samsung also do a 1TB drive btw)

My broadband speed - 750 Meganibbles/minute
Im a western digital man myself, got 2 in atm and they are very quiet, thinking of getting a 500gig one soon. Samsungs are also excelent though, used them in a few other builds.
So - get youreslf a dice..
1 or a 4 - WD 1TB
2 or a 5 - Samsung 750
3 or a 6 - WD 750
Or just go for the least expensive!

I'd stay away from the samsungs if i was hyou. Ive had 3 of the 500Gb drives die on me that were only between 1 and 2 months old. In two different computers.
I have 7 Western digitals though and have had some of them for 6 years and not one problem

I'm a fan of Hitachi hard drives. The new 32Mb cache ones are very nice.
If it's a media drive then how about a WD green power drive? Spinning at 5400rpm they'll use little power and be very quiet.
Damn you people!!
I'm still confused.
I think I'll forget the samsung purely because I like Western Digital.
Now the issue still remains - the 750 or 1TB
Damn me for being so indecisive.
Get two 750s.
