    installing vista on a shuttle?

having trouble installing vista on my shuttle (spec in sig) it seems to get to the last bit and then when restarting and just before windows looks like it's about to enter i get the 'blue screen of death' a reboot takes me to the same place with a different msg stating that i need to start the install again. I have the latest bios and using the standard on board graphics apposed to the 9600. My normal setup consisted of SATA disc and SATA dvd drive, however i found i had to switch to IDE DVD drive for the vista install to take place

Do i need a SATA driver or any preloaded drivers?
    Anyone got any ideas?

Re: installing vista on a shuttle?

    Well I replied!!

I have Vista on my SD37P2 and it installed fine on this and also on my old SN41G2 too as a test. The former has a 975X chipset and the latter an Nforce2. I used an IDE DVD drive for both. However I have SATA HDDs in my SD37P2 so I do not think that it is a SATA HDD issue personally.

Have you tried the install with the 9600GT installed?? Maybe you could also try the install with only one stick of RAM too.

If you want some more detailed answers it myabe worth a visit to the SFFTECH forums as there is a separate part dedicated just to Shuttles. They are probably the best Shuttle forum I have come across IMHO.
