    XP 2800+ and cooling

i have recently purchased one of these processors and am not going to be overclocking. will the standard retail fan be good enough for keeping it cool on a computer used mostly for gaming, or should i look for another cooler, if so could i have some suggerstions please.

    Thank you.

yup, the retail hsf should be fine, although you might be better to remove the thermal pad and use something like arctic silver instead

    Thank you for the reply

yea was reading about that. will i notice a massive difference if i use arctic silver instead of the thermal pad, is it worth the bother.
