    Exclamation Laptop for an Illustrator

My girlfriend is after buying a laptop for uni after the easter period, its mainly for presentations, and using software like Photoshop CS3, Corel Painter X (design apps) smoothly. Preferably a DVD-RW to save work to.

Ive seen a few that would be ideal for the job, but I thought Id ask you guys if you've seen any steals going around

Could anyone recommend one for around £300-£400?

    Thanks

    Re: Laptop for an Illustrator

Basically what you are looking for is a decent amount of memory (at least 2GB) and with a bit of processing power oh and a decent screen would be worth paying extra for as with design work you want colours to look right!

Yeah check out Compare All UK Dell Vostro Deals and E-Value Codes | dmXdimension for some pretty good deals on the vostro's.

Great deal on the 1400 for a really good spec but thats a 14.1" screen.

The 1500 and 1700 are 15" and 17" screens respectively

    Re: Laptop for an Illustrator

    Probably too expensive but:

Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

£493: 17" screen; core 2 Duo; 2GB RAM; nVidia Geforce Go 7300 (rather than onboard graphics).
