no way of putting it back in the original pc/laptop and removing the password ?

Sounds like the hard drive is encrypted somehow for that to be happening.
Are you trying to get data off, or just use it? What is the make?

You can not use USB though, you must use it directly to the mobo

Requirements:

Agent and the instructions are the same. You CANNOT connect it with USB. You MUST connect it to the IDE port on the motherboard. What don't you understand?

ok then i will try to buy a cable
USB can not directly interface with the hardware like IDE can, and I'm yet to find a way around this (I doubt there is one)
