your talking about the q9650? in my opinion its not worth buying such an expensive thing. Buy a q6600 overclock it to 3ghz and there, sorted. Saved yourself about £500 which could be spent on say.... gfx cards which atm are the bottlenecks(for games ofc). But if you are into extreme programing then it may be worth it, whats the specs on a q9750? 3.3ghz per core or something? minor difference. You could just overclock the q9650 too that.

I agree with Hick12, save cash and splash out on a Q6600 or if you have to have the latest penryns, wait for the Q9300 which should be out this month (although we will see)

If you are still using the 19" monitor in your specs then I would spend whatever money you have upgrading that, your graphics card can cope with higher resolutions.

the gfx card is fine, dont bother upgrading it till the 9800series are out as then you may play crysis xD. Dont buy goods from america, just an opinion but you could get 20% of customs and also if its DOA/faulty there is no warranty, spend £100 from here instead of £70 their.

    Re: 9650 or wait,,,9750???

I just read that the qx9770 needs draws more power and as far as the 400x4 fsb is unconcerned, does it really make an additional $500 u.s. difference? It's not going to be used for anything but gaming,,,?
Will the 9650 move down in price you think?
