    Question voltages?

I was wondering is there a way too monitor voltages on a gfx card? as i didnt know if there was any of this "auto" stuff the bios does with gfx voltages as i want to overclock it but would like to know if i should be checking the voltages, or am i being stupid where they are controlled entirly by physical wiring etc?

    Re: voltages?

Some of the mobo generated voltages are programmable through the BIOS (CPU voltages etc). If that is a facility on a GPU, there will be something in the BIOS extensions (if any) that the GPU loads as part of the initial boot process (before the OS system boots)

However as I don't use particularly high end graphics cards, I cannot speak for all. Those that do may be able to enlighten you.

    Re: voltages?

I use rivatuner and it gives the voltage regulator output (V) and the current. Voltages seem to go from 1V at idle to 1.2V at load. I think these are controlled automatically by the card and dont think can be changed. I wouldnt worry about checking them, just worry about your temps.

There is no need to monitor voltages on a GPU.
They are controlled by the card itslef and if you start messing around with them you GPU will turn into an expensive door stop.
