Should i stay or should i go...

Ive got a shuttle SN41G2 - and yes, I love it.

But ive got a XP1700 and its at 1.85ghz, shuttles are pretty pap at overclocking and with increase in volts, and cooling im sure i could get 2ghz out of it.

Also, i really wanna make a window, cathodes, love to get a mirror as well on the floor of my case to make it look WELL snazzy, but this means no more shuttle

what do you think ? should i stay with it or should i go? im tempted, i want prettyness and power ! but i love my shuttle and i know i might regret changing my mind - ill probably buy one again some day even if i do !

think of all the space you save using a shuttle instead - and do you really need that extra speed?

shuttles (and other small pcs) are way better looking than big pcs imo.

I voted to keep the shuttle. I say sell the 1700+ and get yourself a nice shiny barton 3200+ and there u have the extra speed, and if you want to see how to mod an SN41G2 check out Daftpunk's one which is probably at the bottom of the sff section about now.

I vote to keep the shuttle and mod it with cathode tubes, windows, blow hole etc. Check out SFF tech user mods section for some cool ideas. Maybe upgrade to a 2500XP, which is dead simple to overclock.

I have both an OC'd rig and a Shuttle, tbh it depends what your going to use your PC for..

I have a main rig cos its got 4Hdd's in it a CDRW/DVD and a DVDRW drive, couldnt fit that lot into a shuttle...

But then I have the Shuttle to sit under the TV and stream vid's to the TV in the livingroom, the shuttle also is great as a lan rig..

i was thinking of going back to a full size rig, but looked at my lovely lil shuttle and just couldn't part with it. maybe next time i do a major upgrade i'll reconsider but i doubt it.

I’ve got both a shuttle and a midi ATX setup. I think they both have there pro’s and cons, but if I had to get rid of one it would be the shuttle every time. The larger PC is just so much more versatile.
