Laptop recommendation

I'm in the market for a 15.4" widescreen notebook that's light and portable yet reasonably affordable (<£600Max).

So far my favourite choice is a Samsung R60 Plus which is £473.95 at Ebuyer.
Samsung R60 Plus 15.4 inch Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 250GB 2GB DVD Super Multi Vista Home Premium - Ebuyer

Specs are:

Product Description Samsung R60 Plus Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT
Dimensions (WxDxH) 35.8 cm x 26.5 cm x 3.7 cm
Weight 2.7 kg
Processor Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 / 1.66 GHz ( Dual-Core )
Cache Memory 2 MB - L2 Cache
RAM 2 GB (installed) / 4 GB (max) - DDR II SDRAM - 667 MHz - PC2-5300 ( 2 x 1 GB )
Card Reader Yes
Hard Drive 250 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm
Optical Storage DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM
Display 15.4" TFT 1280 x 800 ( WXGA ) - 24-bit (16.7 million colours)
Graphics Controller ATI Radeon X1250 - 128 MB

IOperating System Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
Manufacturer Warranty 1 year warranty

Any comments about this laptop. Samsung used to be a safe bet but are they still good? The last review I read wasn't entirely complementary. Any other recommendations?

Thanks.
