    IS anyone using a Silverstone SUGO SST-SG03

    If so, what do you think?

    or should I go for a Thermaltake LANBox HT VF5001BNS?

    Yes, and it's great. What I've got inside:

    A couple of 120mm fans on the front running from the CPU header to keep them quiet.
    Fitted the NT06-Lite with a 120mm PSU.
    X1950 XT with Arctic Cooling Accelero AC-S1 and turbo fans ~5V

    Quite a squeeze but it runs great, quieter than my Wii! I was a bit worried about the AC-S1 but so long as you don't want anything in the floppy bay then it was fine.

    I guess it depends where you want to put it though, the LANBox would fit better on a desk.

    They are two very different cases, what are you going to use it for?

    Hexus did a review of the SG03 probably worth a read if you haven't already
    HEXUS.net - Review :: SilverStone SG-03 - WORLD EXCLUSIVE! : Page - 1/11

    If footprint is an issue then the SG03 seems the better option as it takes up less room, you can also get a crossflow fan for the back to help with cooling (Link) or the is an expansion slot at the top which you could put one of these in for heat removal (Link) .

    The only other problem (which may effect the Lanbox as well) is the height of the CPU cooler that can be used, but that will only be an issue if your overclocking or have a very hot CPU, as a stock cooler will fit easily.

    I want a small PC mainly as a HTPC. in my bedroom. I have a HTPC in the living room with a proper Cooler Master HTPC case but I don't have space in my room for a full desktop style HTPC case so I was looking at small mATX cases that look the biz.

    got an SG-03 - its a case

    Only annoying thing is the plate that goes across the side - the screws are poor, and i've butchered one of mine. Other than that, it sits quietly, humming along all day, every day. Got the fanless heatsink silverstone do too, works well in there.
