    PC6400 at 800MHz will get you to 3.6 on your Q6600 without OCing the RAM. I know my Crucial PC6400 will go to 1000 with the volts on 2.1v (i.e. undervolted). YMMV of course.

    As you won't actually need to overclock the RAM I'd probably get this

    I use geil and am very happy with it and its a great price.

    The only reason I would demur on the Geil is that it doesn't have a heat spreader. And not because I think heat spreaders cool the RAM, but rather they protect it from dust - dust can carry a static charge which can fry the RAM. As RAM tends to sit near the CPU HSF it is very easy for it to pick up dust.
