PC6400 at 800MHz will get you to 3.6 on your Q6600 without OCing the RAM. I know my Crucial PC6400 will go to 1000 with the volts on 2.1v (i.e. undervolted). YMMV of course.

aiming for this now:
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400C4 (2x2GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK)
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400C4 (2x2GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit
As you won't actually need to overclock the RAM I'd probably get this
GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GB24GB6400C5DC)
I use geil and am very happy with it and its a great price.
The only reason I would demur on the Geil is that it doesn't have a heat spreader. And not because I think heat spreaders cool the RAM, but rather they protect it from dust - dust can carry a static charge which can fry the RAM. As RAM tends to sit near the CPU HSF it is very easy for it to pick up dust.
