    PC Case Recommendations...

    Case Requirements:
    Removable Motherboard Tray
    Good quiet cooling
    Screwless 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 drive bays
Filters for inlet fans (cleanable too)
Full Tower...well bigger than my current Midi Tower

    Bonus:
    Space/provision for tidy wiring
PSU installed on the base of the case
    Window
    Lights
Be made of aluminium (or other strong, light material). Plastic...can be rather tacky if not done well.
Simple, sleek design (Lian Li or similar looking)

    Budget. Should not exceed £100

Effectively I'm looking for a case similar to my current Lian Li (I think it's a PC60) but with screwless drive bays and be larger.

Think Lian-Li or Silverstone Temjin or Aurora 570

    Re: PC Case Recommendations...

The Silverston Temjin is quite expensive...like £250++!!!! Way over my budget.

The Aurora 570 isn't very pretty (to me) and has no removeable motherboard tray. Still it's under £100.

I'd like to think I can look at something other than Lian Li, for more choice...

Interesting one from the hexus home page

    HEXUS.net - Headline :: NZXT's Tempest gaming chassis claims itself the Airflow King : Page - 1/1

Looks like it will tick a lot of those boxes.. peraps not as sleek as a lian li though.

How about the Akasa Eclipse 62?

Hexus reviewed it a while ago here.

    Re: PC Case Recommendations...

Eclipse certainly needs a bit of work to make it very quiet.

    Also doesn't have screwless..anything lol

I like mine very much, It's HUGE so certainly delivers in the size department..it's actually EATX

Not built as well as antec's or silverstone's (and I asume Lian Li although i've never had one), and a bit dull to look at (the mirage remedies this a bit).

Oh well so much for that suggestion!

    Some really good points there.

True but like I said I do like mine very much, it certainly has it's charms.

The PSU is at the top rather than the bottom but is in seperate chamber. The fan sticks out through to add a bit extra cooling

You can buy a windowed side panel which is very nice (but I have the panel with an extra 120mm fan)

I'm sure you could mod the cages with elastic etc to make the drives silent although the dvd drive's would still suffer a bit of humming.

It's the best case I have ever used for building in. It all comes apart with relative ease and being so big any you can get inside really easily to work AND you still get a removable motherboard tray.. they certainly did design it will in that respect

Tidying takes a bit of work and thought (not like the P182) but it can be acheived.
