I was just wondering if the chipset features in a gt oppossed to a gtx 8800 actually make a difference? Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

There is not much difference between the two in real-word performance.
If you gaming @1280x1024 or below, then both are probably overkill.
Anything above that and you may need to check how each of your games perform on the cards.
The GT will use a lot less power but the GTX will out perform it especially at high resolutions.
A good compromise is the 8800GTS 512MB. Lowish power usage but close to GTX performance.
I wouldn't bother with XFX or XXX editions as they tend to be overclocked a bit too far and are too expensive. You might as well get something like this
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Thanks for the feedback... :)
if your planning a 24" monitor then i would go GTX
26" samsung hdtv.... too many to choose from
So thats something like 1366 x 768, I wouldn't spend too much on that.
£100's worth will see that happy. ATi HD3850 or 3870 maybe an Nvidia 9600GT. The ATi's are better media cards the 9600 the slightly better gaming card.
