Right im basically looking for a PCI Raid card which is able to do RAID 5, with space for 5 SATA hard drives.
What sort of budget for a reasonable one, and any brands models to look out for?

I would say decent 3Ware 9xxx series card on ebay for about 150 quids or if you have the budget go for LSI or Areca. I heard some of the cheap DELL PERC5/i on ebay should be good too.
Stay away from XFX.
If you are really on a budget and don't care about higher risk of non-recovery in event of array degrade, Intel Matrixraid or Silicon Image onboard is fine.
if it's not costing you hundreds, it's not real RAID (it's using your cpu and some windows-only drivers to emulate it)
3ware, areca, lsi (dell rebadge lsi cards, you might get a bargain dell-branded card on ebay), most adaptec cards
