A keyboard for old people
I'm looking to buy my elderly father a new PC system as his current system is five years old now. He's fairly old and infirm and uses his computer a lot. I'll be re-using the 19" TFT screen and want to replace the keyboard as its very old and knackered.
His eyesight is not 20:20 so a good tactile keyboard with slightly larger keys, clearly marked, would be ideal. Does anyone know of a suitable keyboard?

saitek eclipse is back lit,
the old old ps2 dell ones had great big keys and were a great shape, got a couple in my garage black writing on beige keys
Re: A keyboard for old people
the jumbo xl is aimed at kids, but perfect for poor eyesight and 1" keys as well.

they also do it with white keys and black letters if he doesnt fancy the coloured keys. not cheap at about £50

A (very) quick Google search came up with this
Large Key Keyboards | Large Print Keyboards
They aren't cheap - you may find something lower cost, but they seem to fit the requirement.

Not exactly ideal for someone of the more mature persuasion though is it????
A basic Logitech/Microsft keyboard would be more than enough as they arent over complicated and the keys are laid out very well.

The backlit Eclipse is the last thing you want if your eyesight isn't 100% especially with the blue lighting.
Blue lights are very difficult to focus on (think of those blue Christmas lights people have on their houses)
I had an Eclipse and I always had to turn the lights off.
